Distinguished members, partners, and friends, as we gather for this landmark 60th National Convention, I first express profound gratitude to JCI City for hosting this convention. Your commitment to excellence honours our shared legacy and sets the stage for our next chapter.
For 75 years, JCI Hong Kong has stood as the city’s premier youth leadership organization, uniting over 2,200 members across 21 chapters. We bridge generations of leaders aged 18 to 40 through our unique global-local ecosystem, partnering with institutions like the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, international corporations, and NGOs. This network transforms passion into tangible impact—driving social innovation, fostering sustainable development, and nurturing Hong Kong’s next generation of change-makers.
This year’s theme, "The Power of One," distills our core belief: transformative change begins with individual courage. It is the unwavering spirit of a single leader that ignites movements. When amplified by our collective identity—"We Are Leaders"—these individual sparks become an unstoppable force. As John Quincy Adams reflected, true leadership lies in inspiring others to dream boldly, learn deeply, and act decisively.
Looking ahead, we embrace an ambitious vision for JCI Hong Kong’s future. We will harness our global network across 100+ countries to position Hong Kong’s youth on the world stage, showcasing our innovative approaches to ethical technology and urban resilience. We will pioneer next-generation leadership programs focused on AI fluency, circular economy principles, and cross-border collaboration, empowering every member to tackle emerging challenges. Through strategic alliances with academia and industry, we will scale youth-led solutions from the Greater Bay Area to global communities.
The future we envision is one where JCI Hong Kong members lead decarbonization initiatives, redefine social entrepreneurship, and set new standards for ethical governance worldwide. To JCI City—your hosting of this convention embodies the "Power of One": one chapter uniting thousands to fuel our national mission. To every member here: you are the catalyst. About JCIHK
Junior Chamber International Hong Kong, China (JCIHK) (formerly named as “Hong Kong Junior Chamber”), inaugurated in 1950, is affiliated with the worldwide leadership development organization – The Junior Chamber International (JCI). JCI has a worldwide membership of over 200,000 and more than 100 countries around the world.
In Hong Kong, we have about 2,000 members representing a network of highly motivated and forward looking young men and women who are mostly entrepreneurs or executives from a wide range of trades and businesses. The active members are between the ages of 18-40 from 21 local chapters, who make full use of their leisure hours to work for the betterment of the community and themselves.
The purpose of Junior Chamber is to provide development opportunities that empower young people to create positive change.
We are Leaders
“We are Leaders” sets the tone for JCI Hong Kong, fostering a culture where leadership is the norm, not the exception. It inspires members to support and empower one another, creating a ripple effect that amplifies the impact of their collective efforts. When every member embraces the "We are Leaders" mindset, JCI Hong Kong, China unleashes its full potential. The organization becomes a breeding ground for innovative solutions, bold initiatives, and impactful community projects - all driven by the passion and vision of its engaged and empowered members.
This theme will inspire a generation of young professionals to become catalysts for change, shaping a brighter future for themselves, their communities, and the world. Through this empowering vision, JCI Hong Kong, China will continue to fulfill its mission of developing the leadership capabilities of its members, creating a lasting impact that resonates far beyond the organization's walls.
承辦分會：城市青年商會 JCI City
城市青年商會創立於1981年，為國際青年商會中國香港總會﹙前身為香港青年商會﹚屬下二十一個商會之一，所有會員均為男性，並以中文為法定語言，現時會員人數已超過二百五十位。城市青年商會一向秉承著青商的宗旨「服務社會，訓練自己」，不斷推出各類型不同大小工作計劃同時，更讓會員透過參與的過程而得到各方面的訓練和服務社會的機會。時至今日，本會已成為一個充滿幹勁熱誠的青年組織以及最大的分會。本會多年奪得香港最傑出分會，並於2003，2006，2013，2014年奪得亞太區最傑出分會的獎項，更於2007，2013及2014年榮獲全球最傑出分會。
自創辦以來，本會經常提供下列四大發展機會，令會員獲得均衡的發展。在過去四十三年的歷史，本會造就不少社會領袖及精英，工作計劃則圍繞著青商各大訓練機會而舉行。今天，城市青年商會獨特的「團結、和諧、齊心」核心價值，從而培育更多青年領袖，已成為一個充滿幹勁熱誠的青年組織，會員得以訓練自我及一同共創明天。
